In 1935 Karoline and Gustav Feiler opened a new winery in the town of Rust. Now in its third generation, the family continues to make classic wines of great distinction. Their Zweigelt is hand-harvested using biodynamic viticultural practices that were certified in 2008. Malolactic fermentation and ageing took place in large oak barrels to soften the acidity and tannins. Long maceration makes this a medium-bodied red rich with flavors of cassis, plum and dark ripe cherries. Add a solid backbone of earthy minerality and you will be basking in the glow of sunshine with this one.
